Markquart is proud to be a part of this amazing community, and we are honored to give back to many of the organizations that help keep the Chippewa Valley strong. During 2021, Markquart let the community decide where we donated $50,000, and the results were overwhelming.
The 2021 recipients were (in no specific order):
Pinehurst Park - OutdoorMore, Inc.
OutdoorMore, Inc. is working to rebuild and reinvent the former ski hill located at Pinehurst Neighborhood Park in Eau Claire, WI. It is dedicated to creating a valuable community asset where any resident of the Chippewa Valley can have fun and stay active all year long through a variety of outdoor recreational activities.
Eau Claire County Humane Association
The ECCHA provides medical attention and shelter to homeless animals in the Eau Claire area. They provide humane and loving care to dogs, cats, and other animals until they are ready to be adopted.
L.E. Phillips Senior Center
The L.E. Phillips Senior Center provides a welcoming gathering place for individuals ages 50+ who reside in Eau Claire County. The center helps promote independence with access to programming to develop skills to enhance emotional, physical, and social well-being.
Pony Tales Refuge & Rehab
Pony Tales provides refuge and rehab for neglected and abused horses. They provide the compassion and training needed to prepare the horses for adoption.
Chippewa Humane Association
The Chippewa Humane Association works to relieve the suffering of homeless companion animals by providing care and shelter. They care for the animals and work to find them forever homes while educating the community on their proper care.
Chippewa Valley Wildlife Rehabilitation
Chippewa Valley Wildlife Rehabilitation treats and cares for injured, diseased, and orphaned indigenous wildlife. They work toward the return of healthy viable animals to their appropriate habitats in the wild.
Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley serves youth and teens from second grade to age 18. The Club strives to provide all kids with equitable opportunity and quality programs focused on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Offering trained staff who guide, coach, and motivate kids to be successful through delivering engaging programs and providing a safe, fun place for kids to grow and thrive is a priority for the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Dunn County Humane Society
The Dunn County Humane Society is committed to the prevention of animal suffering in the area. They find permanent loving homes for the animals in their care in a no-kill facility.
Hope Gospel Mission
Hope Gospel Mission provides food, shelter, clothing, life-changing rehabilitation programming, and more to men, women, and children in western Wisconsin. Hope Gospel Mission provides a long-term, intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing environment for those who are struggling with addiction, homelessness, or those who just need to start over with a new beginning. It offers help with life skills, academic skills, and work skills while providing resources for addiction recovery, financial peace, nutrition and fitness, and spiritual growth.
Bob’s House for Dogs
Bob’s House provides a loving home for senior and special-needs dogs in the Eau Claire area in a kennel-free environment. Their dogs receive constant love and attention, high-quality food, and the medical care they need.
